All-new Jeep Wrangler JL moves the Khaleej Times Desert Drive into top gear

The drive will flag off from the Barracuda Beach Resort in Umm Al Quwain.

Lead sponsor Trading Enterprises-Jeep has handed over an all-new Jeep Wrangler JL as the lead car for the inaugural edition of the Khaleej Times Desert Drive, which will hit the road on February 15. The drive will be a unique experience for families and off-roaders through the rolling dunes of the UAE.

The one-day event is perfect for newbies, families and thrill-seekers wanting to experience that heady rush of adrenaline. Participants will get to charge through the sands in their own 4x4 vehicles as marshals guide them through the desert in a convoy.

Mohamed Yahya Kazi Meeran, Director & Group Chief Executive Officer, Galadari Brothers, received the key for the lead car from Eric Paul Benavente, Regional Managing Director, Trading Enterprises.

The drive will flag off from the Barracuda Beach Resort in Umm Al Quwain. Participants will embark on a seven-hour adventure through the desert, which will end in a desert camp in Ras Al Khaimah, with entertainment activities for the participants and families.
