Trading Enterprises associates reach the top at the Annual Automotive Skills Contest

Associates at Trading Enterprises eagerly look forward to their Annual Automotive Skills Contest, a great opportunity and motivating factor to improve skills and competency, and a great success over the years. On 19th May at the 3S Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram (CJDR) facility in Sharjah, the annual technical competition was held across seven skills categories: Technician (Mopar and Volvo), Technician (Body and Paint), Service Advisor, Parts Advisor and Parts Man.

Through a series of practical skills tests and role plays during the event, the contestants demonstrated their technical knowledge and professional expertise in front of the judges and their peers. A new 'rapid fire' round proved a riveting addition to the Service Advisor and Parts Advisor categories, where each contestant faced a series of questions against the clock. The contest also included many spot competitions, to the delight of Trading Enterprises' associates and guests. It also included activities for teams to demonstrate their artistic talent in a painting competition, whilst a topical team building activity was a Mopar Pit-Stop lane, wherein the five-member teams, each including a female associate collectively performed timed checks and an inspection exercise on a vehicle.

Anup Kumar, General Manager - Aftersales, Trading Enterprises said: "This was an excellent opportunity for the contestants to showcase their skills and knowledge, and to earn the coveted award of being the best for their brand and category for the year! We welcomed over 400 associates and Principal guests and vendors to a fun packed Friday, and to witness and take part in various activities. Many of them went home with prizes earned for their efforts and contribution. Once again, the contest was a great success and would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work from the in-house team coordinators. Congratulations to all the winners and runners up and we look forward to an even more exciting skills contest next year."

Trading Enterprises' senior management as well as business partners, vendors and Principals, attended the event.

Mohammed Maktari, Managing Director, Trading Enterprises said: "The contest is very much a key event on our calendar and it is an excellent opportunity for associates at Trading Enterprises to show their peers exactly what they do best, day in, day out."
